Waldo Brookside Rotary Club is a group of service-minded folks, united in our efforts to make our community and the world a better place.

The WBRC was chartered in Kansas City, MO in 2015 with 51 members.

Our club is part of a global Rotary family that unites people from all continents and cultures who take action to deliver real, long-term solutions to problems in our community and the world.

Through volunteering, our 1.2 million international Rotary members make lifelong friendships that transcend political and cultural boundaries, and foster global understanding and respect.

Rotary is dedicated to causes that build international relationships, improve lives, and create a better world to support our peace efforts and to end polio forever. These areas of focus are:

Promoting Peace
Fighting Disease
Providing Clean Water, Sanitation, & Hygiene
Saving Mothers & Children
Supporting Education
Growing Local Economies

September 21 Meeting

Our Speaker this week is Mark Landes!

Mark Landes is the spark that gave the WBRC its energy and spirit in the beginning. He wasn’t actually our first president, but he stepped into the role when our first president’s schedule made it impossible for her to attend regularly. Mark invented the “Landes Line”. His energy and enthusiasm set our club on the trajectory that still makes it special. He was the right person in the right place at the right time, and his personality and courage made all the difference.
