WBRC Volunteers at Rock the Parkway 5K/Half Marath

Join your Waldo Brookside Rotary team as we join together and volunteer course monitors for Rock the Parkway Half marathon as it runs through our part of Kansas City.  The race starts at 7am in front of the main entrance in Burns and McDonnell and tranverses along Ward Parkway and through the neighborhood and circles around Loose Park and returns back to Burns and McDonnell where the finish line is.  

THE ASK: Course monitors:

You will be a course monitor along the course route along Ward Parkway or within the neighborhood neighboring Loose Park and your job will be to insure traffic does not enter the race route and that participants are safe. You will need to be at your assigned intersection by 6:30 am. You should see your first participant around 7:30 am and your last participant around 8:30 am. When you see the trail car you are then free to go (should be 10am at the very latest depending on your assigned location)
